Internal Martial Arts

Our internal martial arts tradition is called Tora No Jutsu (Way of Tiger). It carries the tradition of the divine feminine and can be traced back to the Minamoto Clan of Japan. Our school offers many ways to live a better more deeper life. A major focus of our trainings is how we can learn to remain calm. Remaining calm can be seen woven throughout our system. We work closely with nature and learn to harness her wisdom not only for defensive purposes but more importantly to live a richer and more filling life. Through these understandings it is natural for our healing energy to awaken. Once we establish a relationship to a deeper part of ourselves the next piece of our training reveals itself. We learn to listen to the inner winds (wisdom) and become one with the art.

Our school (dojo) offers a safe and nuturing environment with small and intimate class sizes so that each student can truly have the attention and training they come for. Our head teacher is Kuldip Ian Quinterno (Renshi Kin Ryu 6th Dan), who is a devoted student of Grandmaster Hong Hu and is one of a very few to be given permission to teach this sacred tradition.

These Martial Arts are not about violence and fighting, they are a pathway to better understand yourself and learn to exalt yourself. If you feel ready to take the first steps, you are welcome as long as your heart is pure, words are kind and can forge commitment.

‘Finding this art has been a life changer to me. Not only has it given me tools to build and maintain healthy boundaries in so many levels, it has also showed me how to be at peace with myself and my environment, no matter what. Kuldip is an excellent Sensei who pushes us to continuously grow in a very caring way. I can’t recommend the classes highly enough.’
