Somatic Unwinding

The gross form of the mind is in the body and the subtle form of the body is in the mind - every mental knot has a corresponding physical knot and every physical knot has a corresponding mental knot. Physical, emotional, environmental and chemical stress and trauma - all life experiences and emotions are stacked and stored in the physical and energetic body, creating knots and blocks. These blocks manifest themselves as mental or physical obstacles, tension and pain, contributing to habitual patterns and limitations in all aspects of a persons life

The art of Somatic Unwinding is a one-of-a-kind experience of expansive emotional and physical release. With different but equally sophisticated and conscious techniques, blocks in the body are being addressed, creating a place for deep opening and unlocking. The result is release of dormant energy  — the body regains its vitality and strength and the mind becomes light, creative and balanced.

This unique healing modality is internationally recognised for it's effectiveness, intuitive accuracy and long-lasting results. It acts through the body to the mind, promoting full body potential, self-healing and balance. With a well and personally chosen set of yoga and meditation, together with regular bodywork, full body potential is activated and can be experienced as increased confidence in all areas of life.

Applied to the entire body through a soft towel, this somatic release method is based on a graceful spiralling stroke that gently unwinds the myofascia of the body, allowing more overall flexibility, body awareness and releasing of heavy emotions.

The unique arched therapeutic table is a staple in our somatic unwinding sessions. It is designed to enhance the therapy holistically by decompressing the spine and open the body with the help of gravity. It also lengthens the spine, enhances breathing abilities, minimizes lumbar pain and dysfunction, and increases circulation of the upper spine and neck.

The healing art tradition of somatic unwinding was originally developed by Mark Lamm, and handed down and taught directly to Dyal Singh Khalsa, Kuldip’s teacher in the healing arts. For over a decade Kuldip trained and taught with Dyal Singh, after which he continued to evolve these techniques and implement more intuitive movements and sequencing.

Polyneisan Footwork

Differing from the traditional arm and handwork, the foot covers a larger area, and therefore connects and opens larger sections instead of individual strands. Extremely effective in reducing muscle soreness, creating more fluidity, strengthening bone, lengthening the body and deeply grounding an individual.

Footwork is a time tested and efficient tool that has the ability to unlock vital energies and awaken body intelligence.⁣⁣⁣⁣ The work helps ground and open the receivers body and unwind any armoured fascia. It instinctively awakens the body’s natural healing blueprint, resulting in the releasing of deep-bedded stress, trauma and blocks in the physical and subtle body.

The Somatic Footwork practitioner develops and depends on a direct relationship with the Earth. As the client lies on the ground they are naturally in contact with Earth and discordant energies are organically released and cleared. This is further amplified each time the practitioner uses their foot to intuitively apply direct pressure onto the client. Following a systematic protocol the practitioner can address physical blocks, restore emotional ease and open the body's energy channels.

Reiki

Within every individual and living entity, a boundless field of energy flows, intertwining our essence with that of the Earth. Reiki, derived from the Japanese term for universal life energy, represents an ancient organic healing modality. It embraces the profound belief that anyone can acquire the ability to cleanse, relax, harmonize, and restore themselves and others by channeling the omnipresent life force known as Qi, which permeates and enlivens all living beings.

Reiki serves as a natural, serene, and potent means of receiving healing and expanding consciousness. During a Reiki session, the practitioner engages in hands-on interaction with the flow and transmission of universal life energy. The client experiences this process through the release of emotions, profound grounding, and a state of deep relaxation. A Reiki session serves as a wellspring of profound healing, rejuvenating not only the body and mind but also fortifying the connection between the two.

CHI NEI TSANG

This technique originating from Taoist Monks directly approaches unwinding and opening the abdominal area in a gentle manner.  Our deep emotions that we hold onto both conciously and subconsiously can be accessed through the navel point. By unwinding the tissue and gently stimulating organ function the client has a tremendous opportunity to feel clearer, lighter more emotionally balanced.

ACUPRESSURE

JIN SHIN DO

Jin Shin Do is a therapeutic acupressure technique that enhances and harmonizes a persons Chi flow. This work focuses on the body’s meridian health through acupressure and tsubo points (power points).
